stasis005 is another vinyl issue of elysia crampton s digital work, following stasis003, the bound adam 2011 7inch. it is the first pressing of the light that you gave me to see you, originally released under the name e+e. the arrangements were conceived between 2011 and 2012, and the l.p. was finally assembled in 2013, while the artist was homeless in los angeles, california. this edition also includes a previously unreleased bonus track, troll song, which originates from the same period. as with bound adam 2011, the art is by felix lee, and the master is by brandon hocura.

music is about discourse: it’s about ideas, about the intellectual project. anyone can build a “beat”, but not everybody can produce an interesting argument for it. this implies the idea of romanticism as a notion of tradition and respect for certain rules. romanticism understood as virtuosity in the manipulation of art production tools. virtuosi of their own methodology. certain pedigree of virtuosity is definitely needed…but in many regards it also remains an extremely conventional formalism, which is at the core of every artist. it doesn’t matter if you have to piss around in the subterranean electronic music trenches for over two decades. a true pioneer simply has to live with that sort of dichotomy. here there are two good examples.

british art-rock band no-man (tim bownes & stewen wilson w mick karn, richard barbieri, steve jansen, ben coleman) recorded heaven taste in the studio sessions in summer 1992. it got first released as a complete 21 mins version on painting paradise ep on one little indian (1993). the track drew attention in the rising ambient techno scene and got played by djs like mixmaster morris. the track fuses ambient techno with art rock and features a distinctive fretless bass solo by mick karn. this super sound 45rpm 12- features a steven wilson edited 11.21 mins version of the original and on b-side jimi tenor s rearrange with some solos with flute and keyboard. file under: ambient techno

aquarius heaven is brian brewster, an artist brought up between texas and the caribbean who has laid down some compelling, socially and politically minded verses on magical eps for labels like wolf & lamb and circus company. fusing reggae, dancehall, house and hip hop he is a unique talent who has also worked with dop, miss kittin, ryan crosson, art department, mathias kaden and many more.

originally released in a limited edition of 500 copies in 1982 monoton’s second album ‘monotonprodukt 07’ is now a collector item and also one of the most important album of all-time. it has been voted one of the 100 best records by highly influential uk magazine the wire. monoton was founded in 1979 by hypermedia wizard konrad becker as an art project that underwent various transformations and collaborations in its exploration of psycho-active sound. a pioneer in experimental electronic music, becker continued to break new ground in electronic media. monotonprodukt 07 has been reissued on vinyl by desire (and is still available as a double picture-discs limited to 500 copies. it’s the first time ever that tracks from the album are remixed and desire is proud to had such great artists/producers as us prositutes, svengalighost with fellow partner and l.i.e.s. boss and hospital productions artist ron morelli. the last remix is the work of great mancunian duo rainer veil (modern love). an incredible remix package that do justice to this classic album ! mastered by matt colton at alchemy.

magical, mystical and straight from the heart: after -until then, goodbye- and -a day in the life- the hamburg based art curator, dj and producer lawrence releases yoyogi park - the third part of an album trilogy for mule musiq in collaboration with artist stefan marx. the album explores unknowingly relations between his very own ambient productions, acoustic sound experiments and the driving force of the dancefloor. the artwork is showing a 360 degree view of the yoyogi park in the heart of tokyo, that stefan marx created for a fanzine for the printed matter nyc book fair in 2015.

walter gas ep from marcos coya is the first release of gas grabaciones, vinyl-only label from the small south american country uruguay. contains two original tracks and a blasting electro-techno remix from argentinian artist franco cinelli aka psynote. analog machines were used on making this tracks and an excelent mastering work, ensuring great sound at playing it. it’s a 300 limited copies release, with cover art from uruguaian artist carlos paez vilaro.

two years ago i played at studio 9 in vilnius, lithuania. the following day i missed my flight home and ended up spending an extra day, which gave me a chance to explore the city with my friend linus, who took me to the contemporary art centre. it was there i spotted a book named ‘rojus’, that linus told me translated as ‘paradise’. the word and striking cover of the book stuck in my mind. a few days after returning home, i turned on to a national geographic documentary named ‘designed to dance’, explaining the courtship rituals of birds of paradise. as i watched, i jokingly began drawing similarities between these birds’ attempts to captivate and impress the opposite sex with dance, and the way strangers try to attract one another in clubs and interact on the dance floor. this gave me the idea of creating a record of functional club music, sequenced as if it were a club night, from doors to closing, using samples of these birds of paradise and their habitat. thus, rojus. leon vynehall 2016

aether series is home for bass heavy and dj-friendly experimental music and sound art. the first release of the series is ikolas mini-lp titled *core*, originally recorded for *machine soul - the documentary film* soundtrack. the film focuses on pioneering finnish electronic music artists such as mika vainio, jori hulkkonen and jimi tenor. the score is composed as a tribute to their work and is now released as an independent piece on vinyl.

beautiful sonic sorcery from cristi cons and dewalta. elegant, warm, subtle but energetic music, creating a momentum of infinity. our favorit romanian artist known for his productions, his quality amphia label, a:rpia:r as well as his sit project with vlad caia teams up with dewalta from berlin who continues to refine his output on meander. these two kindred spirits met at dewaltas studio to create a spaced-out musical treatment, captivating body and mind. lisa milloy, joined the creative process, adding beautifully flowing words, recorded in one take as stream of conciousness. breath in and dance to their melodies with a clever groove that just flows onwards. with the record basorelief, released in 2014 meander already introduced the greatly talented cristi cons to its circle. now these two artists, bringing bucharest and berlin further together, deliver a hightly anticipated follow-up with this record filled with rhythmic material for the space between. 180gram vinyl, available in two editions: either as full cover-artwork or as limited edition with hand-made screen-printed cover-art.

traditional folk music from belgium, performed by swedish youngsters, met by art music with inspiration from the dj-culture. during the fall of 2015, guf (gävleborgs ungdoms folkband) released an album called guf4life where one of its songs got the dj & composer slim vic to react. the rain drenched sounds in the original composition worked as the fundament for two different musical journeys, signed by slim vic. part 1, is a varying composition that take the listener in and out of club music, ambient and the original tracks folk music. part 2, is a very dystopic world of sounds clearly on the border of art music.
